and Safety Executive (HSE) are responsible for the regulation
of almost all the risks to health and safety arising from work
activity in Britain.
However Fire prevention is enforced by the local Fire Authority;
from 2006 Employers will be obliged to perform their own
Fire assessment under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
